This Minako uniform was a quick and kind of rejuvenating project for me. While I’ve had a soft spot for magical girls since I was a teen, I’d never actually cosplayed one until now. I think it would please my younger self.

I’ve made it my goal from 2021 and onward to use as many resources from my collection of materials instead of buying new things for cosplay. All the fabric for this costume came from my stash and I reused my trusty pair of black heels (that you can spot in a lot of my cosplays). I only ended up having to buy a wig, a clip for the bow and a pair of socks. Overall a pretty inexpensive and simple costume to make. And it’s the perfect comfortable cosplay to wear at a convention. I’d call that a win!
