There are many different takes on Taako the Wizard from the podcast “The Adventure Zone” and I wanted to do my own version of this colorful character. 

When I was settling on a design, part of the challenge I set for myself was to primarily use materials that were thrifted or from my stash.  While I was sketching out ideas, I saw a photo of a sheer jumpsuit that Lorde wore on one of her tours and I knew I had to make something in the same style. 

The costume consist of a sparkly purple leotard, an over-sized sheer jumpsuit and a pleather corset. The big wizard hat was made from velvet and cotton and all chains were thrifted. My Bureau of Balance bracer was made out of EVA foam and worbla and painted with a chrome spray. The ears are from MadHouse FX on Etsy.
